Body Acne: How To Get Rid Of It Once And For All

Body acne is very annoying and can make you not feel confident.

This is what you do:

1. Start Wearing Loose Breathable Clothes

Check the outfits you are wearing. The clothing you wear can cause acne. Switch from tight, non breathable fabrics to loose, breathable cotton.

Your heavy bag strap can actually cause it too if you wear it over your shoulder. And the bra you wear can also cause it it’s too tight and rubs against your skin.

2. Your Beauty/Grooming Products Can Cause It Too.

Lotions, moisturisers and hair products contain ingredients that can be causing body acne too. Make sure they are non comedogenic. ( Meaning they won’t clog your pores).

3. Wash Your Back After Shampooing And Conditioning

Avoid shampoo and conditioner on body. Wash it after shampooing and conditioning.

4. Shower and Change Immediately After Working Out

After working out you might just want to chill out and rest. But you have to quickly change and shower if you don’t want acne!

If you can’t shower, use wipes or a washcloth with warm water. And carry spare clean clothing to change if you can!

5. Wash Your Bed Sheets Often

Your bed sheets collect dirt, sweat, bacteria and oils. Make sure to keep them clean and change very often.

6. If You Notice Sweat, Rinse

If you see that you are sweating, make sure to rinse it off. Or use wipes or a washcloth with water.

7. Get The Right Body Wash

If you have body acne, you need a body wash with AHA/BHA.

Another you can use is African Black Soap, Charcoal Soap and Tea Tree Soap.

8. Get A Body Wash For Sensitive Skin

Using soap/body wash that is too harsh for the skin if it is on the sensitive side also causes acne. Get an unscented, gentle soap.

9. Cleanse and Exfoliate Right

Do not over wash and over scrub. Exfoliating and cleansing definitely help but it’s important to be gentle because overdoing it can cause irratation and makes it even worse.

10. Check Your Fabric Softener

Fabric softener can cause acne too.

11. Avoid Using Loofahs, Get This Instead

Loofahs collect bacteria. The best thing to wash your body with is a Salux Cloth. Another great thing about it is that it is long so you can easily reach your back. Long brush. You can always use your hands.

A spin brush is also a thing you can try to really cleanse.

12. Wash Your Bra

Let’s be real, we don’t wash our bra that often do we? But try doing so.

13. Soak In An Epsom Salt Bath

You can also make a salt spray to spray on the body. Green Tea, Apple Cider Vinegar And Tea Tree Oil.

14. If All This Doesn’t Work:

  • Stress causes acne. You could be doing everything right but if you are stressed it won’t go away.
  • Greasy snacks also cause acne.
  • It could be another skin condition! Follicitis. Try a zinc dandruff if you want and it’s time to go to a dermotoligist.

15. Shower Daily and Change Into Clean Clothes

Shower daily once or twice and change into clean clothes.

16. Remedies And Treatments

Tea tree oil.

Apple Cider Vinegar.

Green Tea.
